8 months ago By Jeremy Fox

Royals forward Conor Davis has joined Gosport Borough on loan as Mick Catlin strengthens his squad ahead of Kettering test.

Former Republic of Ireland Youth International Conor Davis has today agreed a loan move to Gosport Borough.

The 19-year-old, who has been capped by his country at Under 15, 16 & 17 level, makes the move to Privett Park as Boro' manager Mick Catlin moved to add firepower to his goal-shy squad.

Catlin has this week been able to dabble in the loan market, with the transfer embargo lifted a week ago. Davis becomes the second player to be loaned to the Evo-Stik Southern Premier Cvub following Lee Molyneaux's switch from Havant & Waterlooville.

Davis who has featured for the Championship club's Under 23 squad in the Premier Youth League Division Two, is expected to feature at Kettering tomorrow afternoon as Borough prepare for a long journey and tough fixture against the fifth placed Poppies at Latimer Park.

All at Gosport Borough extend a warm welcome to Conor and hope he has an enjoyable and successful stay.
