Aaron Dawson has committed his future to Gosport Borough after a period of uncertainty for the Devon-based midfielder.
The popular and influential player signed forms for the 2017/18 season after leaving his options open following Boro's relegation from the National League South.
Dawson had received offers from two other clubs - one in the National South the other in the Southern League South & West Division. However Dawson has always stated he was open to the idea of staying at Privett Park and would give the club, the supporters and manager 100% effort if he did.
He will clearly be a key figure in a predominately youthful, new-look Gosport squad and the Boro' fans should view his re-signing as a major boost as the Privett Park club prepare for life in the Southern League Premier Division.
The club have also announced the signing of 20-year-old striker Tyrell Mitford from Wessex League Team Solent.
Mitford, once of Queens Park Rangers, scored 29 times for James Taylor's students and also spent time on loan at Margate.
