FA announce changes to Evo-Stick Premier South lineup

1 week ago By Site Manager

The withdrawl of Shaw Lane FC from the Northern League Premier Division has forced the FA to make further changes to next season's Southern League.

The knock-on effect of Shaw Lane's withdrawl has been felt many hundreds of miles south with Wimborne Town the ultimate winners as the Dorset outfit find themselves now promoted to the Premier South division of the Southern League.

Town were losers in the end of season play-off final against Swindon Supermarine but now find themselves joining The Boro' in 2018/19 in an unexpected, late promotion.

Banbury United will now move from Premier South to Premier Central with Hednesford moving from Premier Central to take Shaw Lane's spot in the Northern League - although both Banbury and Hednesford have appealed their moves.

The full Southern League Premier South line-up now reads (subject to apeals):
Basingstoke Town, Beaconsfield Town, Cheham United, Dorchester Town, Farnborough, Frome Town, Gosport Borough, Harrow Borough, Hartley Wintney, Hendon, Kings Langley, Merthyr Town, Metropolitan Police, Poole Town, Salisbury, Staines Town, Swindon Supermarine, Taunton Town, Tiverton Town, Walton Casuals, Weymouth and Wimborne Town
