Today’s the day when it all kicks off!
It's a massive game for everyone connected with Gosport Borough later today, as we look to get that illusive win that could start our climb away from the relegation bottom three.
With just six more games remaining, every game must be treated like a cup final as the boys endeavour to get the points needed to secure our safety.
The Gosport playing squad has been strengthened during the week, in a bid to turn our fortunes around.
We need every Gosport BORO' fan we can muster for today’s big game - Come on the BORO'....Gosport that is!
The Harrow BORO' perspective.
Ahead of the game Sam from our media team, caught up with a contingent of Harrow fans who are planning to come to the game - and asked for their take on things:
Q1) Please can you introduce yourself?
A) We are the boro brigade, a group of Harrow Borough fans who travel home and away to support our team.
Q2) How did you start supporting Harrow Borough?
A) I’ve been going to Harrow since I was a young kid it started with just going when my professional side didn’t have a fixture, or I was unable to make the away fixture due to other commitments however over the last few years I found my self going more frequently as my interest in non-league football grew. This season I decided to make Harrow Borough my main focus thus attending every game home and away this season and during that time I’ve got to learn more about the club along with the wonderful people that run the club on a daily basis. Moreover I believe that the supporters at the club make it very enjoyable for people to visit Earlsmead as well as being very welcoming to everyone they see, additionally the interest in the club has increased during my time following harrow as a rise in online platforms such as The Boro Brigade and Harrow Boro ultras bring non-league more coverage to people in the local area.
Q3) If a reader hasn’t been to Harrow, how would you describe it?
A) We'd describe Harrow as a small place in london with a incredible community, very well known for the famous school as well as being the home of Roger bannister
Q4)Before this game on Saturday, what did you know about Gosport Borough? Did you know of any players?
A)To be honest we didnt now much about you however having looked into your squad we can tell you have some excellent talent in your ranks with Matt Tubbs being a stand out.
Q5) It’s probably your 1st visit to Gosport, are you looking forward to the game?
A)Yes this Saturday will be our first trip to Privett Park and we are looking forward to it, hopefully we can have a enjoyable game with amazing support from both sides.
Q6) Is there any players you would point out as Harrow’s star man?
A) Harrow have some incredible players in our squad with key stars like Shaun Preddie and Haff set to feature.
Q7) 7. What are your expectations for Harrow this season, being close to the play off places?
A) Moving leagues will not be easy for any club at any level, this is because the staff and supporters will have to get used to new ways of doing things such as logistics of visiting new grounds and ensuring that all requirements for that division are met. When the season began, I believed the club should aim to finish mid table as we find our feet in this division however as we approached the midway point I now think we have a very good chance of pushing for promotion after excellent displays from the squad!
Q8) What are your predictions for this game at Privett Park, you must be fairly confident despite losing to us in our last clash?
A) Going into the game we expect it to be difficult as both sides are looking to get three points from a hard game , we believe that Harrow will come out of the fixture with a narrow win as we slowly build up to our upcoming cup final.
Q9)Who do you tip to win the league?
Q10)If you were given a massive amount of money to buy one player for Harrow (apart from Messi and Ronaldo) playing presently, who would it be?
A)The player I'd pick to be added to the boro squad is Bale as he is able to play in a few positions.
