Game Day - BORO’ Tackle Tiverton

By GBFC Site Manager

Gosport Borough take on the ‘Tivvy’ at Privett Park this afternoon - 3pm kick off

Tiverton are in town for this afternoons premier league game - come on down and support the BORO’.

After last week’s away fixture with Dorchester when the BORO’ battled to a precious point, the results from other games involving relegation threatened teams, just made the league table even tighter down at the bottom.

With our opponents Tiverton enjoying a welcome, and by all accounts well deserved 2 - 1 win at home against high placed Met Police, they leapfrogged the BORO’ and now sit one place above us on goal difference with a game in hand.

Tiverton could have moved further ahead in midweek, however their Tuesday night game against Chesham fell foul of the weather and was postponed.

Gosport will be desperate to get back to winning ways and secure all three points today and make home advantage count against Macca’s father in law who manages the Tivvy.

Gosport’s player / manager has told his boys that it’s all about what they do out on the pitch that will help us move away from danger - we can’t worry about what other teams are doing, we just need to concentrate on ourselves and we have the quality to get the wins that we need.

New boys Hartmann and Huggins will be looking forward to making their home debuts, after good starts for both against Dorchester last time out.

Tony Lea is not available due to his red card last Saturday and Harry Medway is still struggling with an injury, but Pennery is back after feeling unwell in the last game which restricted his usual high tempo game.

New signing James Cowan goes straight into the squad.

Today’s game is a must win for the club and definitely one that needs the support of all BORO’ fans - please come along and support the boys.

Come on the BORO’
