The best way to keep up to date with Gosport Borough Football Club

Ground assistance sought next weekend

10 months ago By Site Manager

The club would like to see as many voluteers as possible at Privett Park next Saturday to help tidy up the ground ahead of the new season.

Jeremy Fox will be running a working party from 2pm -5pm on Saturday July 8th 2017 and the club would invite anyone along who can spare a couple of hours to aid the process of clearing up Privett.

No skills are required and anyone can help. The ground is in dire need of tidying before the first scheduled home friendly against Petersfield Town a week later. Jeremy described how important the supporters help is with this huge task.

"I'd like to thank the small number of people who turned out to help in the previous party last weekend. We achieved a lot but there is so much more to do. I appreciate early morning's aren't ideal for many people so by running a working party in the afternoon, I hope we see a few more willing volunteers join us" he said.

"The stadium is in need of a huge spring clean and I know people talk of having pride in our home ground. The bottom line is we need help and manpower to help us achieve a nice tidy stadium and the best way fans can help us restore pride in our home, is to turn out and help us."

"If we can do that then I'm confident we can go a long way towards getting Privett looking her best" he concluded.

If supporters are unable to commit to the Saturday but would like to help, then Jeremy urges them to get in touch and he will discuss the possibility of running clean up sessions during weekday evenings.
