Hair today, gone on Saturday

2 weeks ago By Jeremy Fox

Two years of hair growth are about to hit the floor this weekend as a loyal supporter has decided to have it cut in aid of the Rowans Hospice.

Alex Clements-Fox (16), son of Boro's Head of Media Jeremy Fox, has become well known around the club for his unique hairdo and hasn't had his barnet chopped in over two years....until now.

Alex has decided that he would finally face the barber's chair but only if a good cause benefited from it.

The club has continued to carry out a collection for the Waterlooville-based Rowans and the young Boro' fan decided that was who should reap the rewards from his falling locks.

The only twist is that the barber's chair is coming for him! Locally-based barber Maria Norman has agreed to give up her time for the event and her services for free. The sponsored hair cut will take place at Privett Park at 1.30pm on Saturday (2nd September) ahead of Gosport's FA Cup tie against Bridgwater Town and all are welcome.

A collection for the Rowans will take place at the event and during the afternoon but if you can't make it, or would like to donate at a time of your own convenience, then this is the link you need: www.rowanshospice.co.uk/donate
