The best way to keep up to date with Gosport Borough Football Club

New date for Russell Cotes Cup semi-final

1 year ago By Jeremy Fox

The postponed Russell Cotes Cup semi-final against AFC Portchester has been arranged for Tuesday evening.

Gosport will make the short trip to AFC Portchester this Tuesday (7th March) in the re-arranged Russell Cotes Cup semi-final.

The game was due to be played last Tuesday but heavy rain the day before ensured the Wicor Rec pitch was waterlogged and the game was postponed.

The game has been quickly re-arranged for this coming Tuesday and will kick off at 7.45pm.

It will be a re-run of last seasons final which Gosport won 2-1 with Justin Bennett scoring his final goals for the Club before ending his nine-year stay and moving to Salisbury.

The winner will meet Wessex League Bemerton Heath Harlequins in the final.
