Privett to gain extra seats and terracing for Cup tie

Temporary seats and terracing will be installed at Privett Park ready for the club's FA Cup clash with Colchester United on Sunday 9th November (2pm).

The club have taken note of some of the feedback they received after last season's FA Trophy semi-final which also saw a large crowd at Privett.

The general feeling amongst fans at that game was that they enjoyed the large attendance and the atmosphere it generated but some were unhappy that they were unable to see everything from the level areas around the ground.

So for the Colchester clash, 1,260 temporary seats will be installed at the "Park End" of the ground from corner flag to corner flag.

In addition, either side of the Harry Mizen Stand and also behind the "Privett Road End" goal, temporary terracing will be erected.

The additional seats and terracing will allow supporters to view the game in safety and comfort in what the club hopes will be a 4,500 sell-out crowd.

At the time of going to press, it is also believed that there will be no crowd segregation so fans will be able to circulate freely around Privett should they wish.
