Table toppers send seven past Boro'

8 months ago By Josh Miller

Gosport remain bottom as Hawkins, Fryatt, Gash, Frary and Siddons were all on target for league leaders Kings Lynn Town.

Top of the table King’s Lynn travelled to Privett Park in what is the fourth time the two sides have been scheduled to take to the pitch at Privett this season.

It took just five minutes for the visitors to take the lead. Captain Michael Clunan whipped in a cross into the Gosport box and Dion Frary was there to head home past O’Flaherty.

Boro’ had a great chance moments later to grab an equaliser when Stephane Bombelenga surged down the right-hand side and drilled a cross along the floor into the King’s Lynn six-yard box but Joe Lea’s shot at the far post was well saved by Street.

One minute later, Hawkins had his first goal of the evening. He dispossessed a Gosport defender and slotted home into the bottom right corner to give The Linnets a second.

King’s Lynn continued to pile on the pressure as Lappin and Gash both had goal chances in the space of a minute.

Boro’ had a goal of their own in the 35th minute. Craig McAllister sent a ball behind the visitors back line for Joe Lea who smashed the ball into the top left corner.

But Just before half-time, King’s Lynn had another. Hawkins got his second of the evening after he was threaded the ball inside the Boro’ box and slotted home into the far post.

King’s Lynn had another just seven minutes into the second-half when Ryan Hawkins completed his hattrick as he found himself with room in the box and curled his effort into the far corner.

The visitors had another in the 57th minute. This time it was Fryatt on target after he was left with a tap-in inside the Boro’ six-yard box.

Stephane Bombelenga had a chance ten minutes later as his long-range free-kick smashed The Linnets’ crossbar and stayed out.

King’s Lynn added a further goal as Michael Gash latched onto a low cross into the Boro’ box and tapped home for his only goal of the night.

Finally, deep into injury time, King’s Lynn scored again - another low cross which was converted by Tom Siddons who came on as a second-half substitute.
