The Boro' register another point
Gosport take a point from a rather dull encounter at Privett Park
Both teams came out at first half looking rather sluggish, there seemed to be no real momentum from the off from neither side. The home side spent most of the half trying to pass the ball around, but with no real confliction, seemingly no end product.
Rowan Vine tried to constantly motivate his team, but not enough to spark any real confliction moving forward. The visitors seemed to be here for a point, no real intent to make something of the game.
The first half ended as it started, no goals, two yellow cards.
Gosport came out in the second half looking to put real pressure on St Ives, seemingly all-out attack with every Boro’ player in the opposition half for the majority of the opening ten minutes.
On the seventy-seventh St. Ives turned on the taps with a series of great passing play leading to a number of near misses. In the eightieth minutes Sam Lanahan was brought down in the opposition box, the ref said no penalty leaving Gosport’s fans up in arms.
The last ten minutes saw Gosport stuck in there own final third, St Ives pilled on the pressure putting The Boro’ faithful on the edge of there seats.
Full time and a point a peace, a rather dull game for the neutral.
