Gosport Borough went to Harrow borough, one point above them. Before the ball was kicked it was a very exciting spectacle even this early in the season as both teams were so close within the league table.
The game started and the hosts started the brighter as their first chance, O'Flaherty had to get down low to claw it to safety. As the game progressed the game became more fiery as the referee had to speak to 2 players for an incident.
The first half came to a close with both teams having concrete chances that could put them ahead but no one was able to break the deadlock.
The second half started and the game picked up where it left of as it became a hugely contested affair. Both teams fought tooth and nail to get the first goal and the second half did not dissapoint.
O'Flaherty kept Boro' in the game on two occasions, one in particular having to pull it out the top drawer to deny Harrow putting the ball in the top left corner.
On the 84th minute, the man that has been scoring all Boro' goals recently, Pennery shoots low and hard into the bottom left corner to the send the Gosport away faithful into cheers!
It was then a very nervy last 13 minutes, as the added time was 7 minutes. Harrow threw the kitchen sink at GBFC to try and find the equaliser but Borough held firm.
We thank all the Boro' fans that turned up today, every fan that supports the teams means the world to the club.
