For the second consecutive away game, Gosport Borough couldn’t find a cutting edge and suffered a 1 - 0 defeat after consecutive second half penalties in the last two games.
Following the defeat at Salisbury last Tuesday the BORO’ traveled to Merthyr on Saturday and came away pointless.
Against another of the fancied teams BORO’, continued to look solid at the back and have now gone 3 games without conceding a goal from open play.
However the lack of goals from the Gosport attack in the last two games, has piled the pressure on the BORO’ defence and we have eventually lost out to penalty decisions handing our opponents all of the spoils.
Manager Lee Molyneaux has been pleased with the defensive performances of his side, but needs more creativity going forward.
In Saturday’s home fixture against Hendon, BORO’ will be looking to find their cutting edge and get these two narrow away defeats out of their system
The game kicks off at 3pm - this Saturday (24th) at Privett Park.
