After last Bank Holiday Monday’s goalless draw at Hartley Wintney, the boys are back in home action on Saturday against unfamiliar opponents Hayes & Yeading United FC. - kick off 3pm.
Hayes & Yeading ran away with their league last season - finishing as Champions of the Bostik League South Central League - 16 points clear of their nearest rivals Bracknell, having secured the title with 93 points and a goal difference of plus 93!
Lee Molyneaux’s BORO’ team will know they’ve been in a game, but the boys can’t wait to get the job done and claim another 3 valuable points at home.
It all adds up to an exciting game in prospect and everyone associated with the BORO’ can’t wait for game day.
Our visitors Manager Paul Hughes has a good pedigree in the professional game, having played for a number of teams including Norwich, Stockport & Crewe having started his career at Chelsea where he played against Pompey in the 1997 FA Cup quarter final - Chelsea went on to win the FA Cup that year beating Middlesbrough 2 - 0 in the final, with goals from Eddie Newton and Roberto Di Matteo.
