BORO’ take on Melksham Town in the second qualifying round of the FA Trophy.

By Sam Rayment

Gosport go into today’s game after their six-game winning streak was ended by Swindon Supermarine 1-0 last week.

Melksham Town, who are currently in the Southern League Division One South, come into the game off the back of 1-1 against Bristol Manor Farm.

‘Town’ have struggled to keep goals out this season, conceding the most goals in the league with 28.

Despite Melksham struggles, BORO’ assistant manager, Ben Kneller said they’re not underestimating their opponents.

“We’ve already had a taste of what that league offers having faced both Cirencester & Sholing in respected competitions, no doubt we will need to be at our best today to progress.”

Gosport Borough and Melksham Town FC will be coming together before today’s game to pay their respects in commemorating Remembrance Day with a tribute to all those who have served in War & Conflict, especially those who paid the ultimate sacrifice in order to preserve and protect our freedom.
