Friday night’s eagerly anticipated final pre season home game against Bognor - kicks off at 7:45 Privett Park.
Ahead of the game, BORO’ Manager Lee Molyneaux gives his initial views on both last Saturday’s visit to Weymouth and the Bognor clash.
‘With the ‘Terras’ manager Mark Molesley having been at the club for a few years now, we knew Weymouth would be well drilled. We knew they’d look to play good football and that they did.
They were on top the first 10 minutes until we tweaked our formation, and then we started to get some joy.
Both teams looked good going forward but also hard to break down, hence no clear cut chances for either team.
We were unlucky with a couple of penalty appeals as a draw or win would have been nice, but all in all we walked away from the game positive. The players are performing as a unit, listening to instruction and know what’s expected of them.
‘We go again on Friday against another good footballing side who will no doubt look to play through the phases.
It’ll be a good test for us to see how our new team will fare against equivalent league opposition.
It is set to be a real ‘football’ match so I encourage anyone and everyone to spend their Friday evening at Privett Park.
In preparation fo the start of the new campaign, the guys in our media team have pulled together a pictorial ‘Fixture List Poster’, which is available to download here.
